A Story Telling Artist
Linda McNamara
Fine Art
It’s in my DNA to be a story-telling artist. My art is inspired by the natural world and imagined futures, often with a touch of whimsy. Each of my paintings begins with story that I love to share! As an award-winning artist, I have shown my work around the country and I have collectors nationwide.
My studio is up in the trees! The light from the windows surrounds my gallery walls and gives this happy place the peace and calm to create (okay, sometimes the rock music helps too!).
Studio visits by appointment.

“I Agave All My Heart”
36 x 36 Acrylic
$1,700
The Story: I think this Texas plant is majestic! I see it in the city and on the roadside. It often marks the sides of a driveway. Reminding me of lions in the posh neighborhoods of the northeastern states. They look surreal. Almost like plastic!
“Born to be Seen”
36 x 36 Acrylic
$1,800
The Story: On a recent vacation we came across several peacocks. They are such an incredibly beautiful bird. And they know it! I have painted the same bird a few times. Each time he gets even more elaborate! This peacock has touches of gold. Very appropriate!
“Rotary”
36 x 36 Acrylic
$1,600
The Story: This piece was inspired by the crazy mistakes that early generation AI was making. It is done in a retro-futurism style and color palette. This piece won the “Lasting Impression Award” at the Visual Art League of Lewisville (Texas) “Movement” Exhibit.
“Lee’s Vette””
36 x 36 Acrylic
$1,500
The Story: My mother had always wanted a yellow Corvette. For her 80th birthday I found some lovely yellow Corvette owners that surprised her by taking her on a ride. The first thing I had to say was, “sorry, you can’t keep it!” This is also my biggest seller of prints. One collector said he was just going to duck tape it to his garage wall! It’s a good thing it was an archival print and should do well there!
“Beautiful Defense”
36 x 36 Acrylic
$1,700
The Story: These plants are everywhere in Texas. I am curious about them because they bloom with beautiful flowers and yet can prick and hurt you. Like some people!
“Field of Daisies”
24 × 36 Acrylic
$850
The Story: When you are thinking about your mom and her love of daisies, you just paint a whole field!
“Texas Heron”
15 × 30 Acrylic
$700
The Story: Vacation birds win every time. I spotted this fellow on the ferry going to Port Aransas, Texas. It is currently hanging in the “Waterscapes” Art Show at the Lost Pines Art Center in Bastrop, Texas.
“Peacock Forest”
15 × 30 Acrylic
SOLD - $700
The Story: My favorite guy was first sighted in the unlikely setting of the woods on a fence.
“Through the Looking Glass”
20 × 15 Acrylic with Frame
$650
The Story: In the sequel to Alice in Wonderland, Alice explores a reverse world where she looks at life as a child. This piece was on display at an exhibit featuring art that was inspired by Alice in Wonderland and comes with a frame.
“A Vintage Voice”
24 × 24 Acrylic
$650
The Story: I painted this to announce my move to Austin, Texas. I like to imagine Billy Holiday singing a soulful jazz song into something like this.
“Forest Reflections”
12 x 12 Acrylic
$400
The Story: Folklore says that when you see a cardinal it is someone that has passed paying you a visit. With that in mind, I have painted this beautiful bird frequently. This small painting explores the idea of being beautiful but not seen.
Adjoining Cardinal, “Silent Sentinel”, is a piece I did for the 2026 Post Card Art Exhibit to benefit people affected by Alzheimer’s. It is an annual international showcase by artists around the world that benefits different charities each year. It is now on exhibit in the Hague, Netherlands.
“Cement City”
24 × 30 Acrylic
$700
The Story: I have been blessed to spend time in New York City. There is something about the resilience of the people playing basketball with no net at the foothills of the cement apartments.
That picture sticks with you.
“Television”
20 × 20 Acrylic
$450
The Story: Do you remember when you were the remote? This piece is done in the retro futurism style and color palette.
“Lotsa Olives”
12 x12 Acrylic on Gesso Board
$380
The Story: This piece spent the summer at the Bridgette Mayer Gallery in Philadelphia as part of her bi-annual benefit exhibition, “Converge”. Done in the retro-futurism style and color palette, this painting taps into my whimsy. Do you see it?
“Cosmo”
24 x 24 Acrylic
$480
The Story: This art memorializes my first fancy drink in Las Vegas. Underneath the blue background is gold and silver symbolizing all the money being lost and won. The cherry is a bit of an exaggeration!
“Boombox”
18 × 14 Acrylic
$400
The Story: I am still taking one to the beach! Done in the retro-futurism style and color palette.
